GOOGLE MAPS LARGE SCALE

NEW YORK LOVE NOTES

In 2014, the Marriott Marquis hotel in Times Square constructed the largest digital billboard in the world.  B-Reel was asked to use our proprietary tool--at this juncture, still in alpha--to create the largest Maps renders ever made (at the time) to write a love letter to New York City.  The result was a :60 piece--rendered at 10K--consisting of several categorical representations of all the attractions New York has to offer, along with how to get there from that exact location.

2014 GOOGLE I/O KEYNOTE

Prior to our Times Square execution (above), Google approached us with a project to create supporting visuals for SVP Sundar Pichai's keynote address to the world at the 2014 I/O conference, which was scheduled one week out from the brief.

The resulting render--created by our pre-alpha tool--featured fluid movements across the globe showing some 597 I/O locations as we moved between our three hero cities.  We also highlighted these key locations using satellite, 3D, and Streetview data, and, with the help of AV Concepts, we were able to live stream each location's select viewing partiy through Google Hangouts.  Atmospheric elements, such as clouds and the Earth's surrounding galaxies were layered into the final 1080x16k file, which was a 1,292 frame Targa sequence weighing in at 60GB.
